Opportunities

Shining Mountain Center for Peaceful Childhood Inc.
, is a not for profit organization committed to providing innovative, natural solutions to children’s challenges, regardless of their economic and social backgrounds. Full and partial scholarships are available to those who satisfy financial assistance requirements. Scholarships are needed for the 18 week individual programs, 8 weeks Group Programs, school programs, summer camps and summer school programs, trainings for teachers and healthcare providers.

During the next 3 years, we plan to secure funding for the land and buildings for the Korczak’s Center in the Berkshires, MA. The Center will be located on a minimum of 3 acres of land, will overlook a mountain and will be comprised of 3 round structures. Each individual structure will be dedicated to one specific service: education, culture, and therapeutics. All interior and exterior building materials and products will be environmentally safe and will provide a tangible, “living model” for families and other interested parties to learn how to provide a safer, healthier environment for their children. Visitors will have an opportunity to learn about the life and work of Dr. Korczak and other educational pioneers.
