Key Programs

hook-ups-smallIndividual 18 week program:

Our program consists of 12 core 1 hour weekly sessions supported by the 6 once per month follow-up sessions.

Other centers may provide individual sessions on nutrition education, Brain Gym®, compassionate communication or yoga. Shining Mountain integrates these with therapeutic modalities, such as color, sound, and essential oils.

(Click for more information about these therapeutic modalities.)

Through the use of non-invasive, integrated services, the Center offers a safe and nurturing environment. Changes are visible in a few weeks. Children attend the session with one or both parents. Siblings and other caregivers (babysitters, grandparents) are invited to some sessions.

Group 8 week program:

A subset of core services is offered to 3-4 children with their parents in weekly group sessions.

Five Star Program®:

A subset of our core services has been presented successfully to staff and students at schools, after school programs, summer schools and camps. It consists of a few Brain Gym® movements, setting of intention and daily exercises that provides both children and teachers with noticeable changes within 2-3 week practice time. Shining Mountain’s staff offers training for the staff and classroom support. Read more about The Five Star Program®.

I truly enjoyed the class. Everything was explained clearly and I will definitely practice it myself every day!

Therapeutic Classroom:

We create green, therapeutic classrooms for after-school programs where Shining Mountain’s therapeutic and educational services are provided to children with special needs and their parents.

Training and Education:

Our Center is eager to share the knowledge that we gained over the years while working with parents and children. We look forward to training healthcare providers and help them open satellite centers. We help educators bring Five Star Program® to their schools by offering in-service training and classroom support, teaching Master Level courses on bringing movement into the classrooms.

I was very relaxed after just one minute of doing the movements. I love these concepts and would like to learn more and integrate it into my practice as an OT. Thank you.
